The Blundons, The Boats & The Beach

November 12, 2013  •  1 Comment

A few weeks ago I was out and about scouring for new spots to shoot. I came across this empty field of tall grass and old, beat up fishing boats. I couldn't wait to shoot in it. When the Blundons contacted me about a family shoot I knew just where to take them. I could've spent all morning in just this one location... lol :)

We started out in the front of a dilapidated, antique warehouse. I loved the grittiness of the building and gave the images a little something different when I processed them... (love the old lamp in the window).

From here we moved onto the field of boats and then my 2nd favorite spot... the swimming hole, where there just happens to be my favorite uprooted tree :)

We finished up the shoot with a little session on the beach... by this time we were all froze and quite blue from the cold, north Atlantic breeze coming up from the ocean. I melted when I got back into the car and cranked up my heated seats... lol :)
